MSABL 40+ Wood Bat Update - 5/23/12
At long last the MSABL is playing baseball again. The season opener was Sunday May 20th with two games at Sowell Field. In the first game the defending regular season champion River Rats took on the Royals and the Rats came out on top 8-5. Game two featured the defending tournament champion White Sox going up against the Reds. The White Sox came out on top in this one 9-7. Both games were competitive and it was good to be back on the field for the start of the season.
The season schedule has been updated with games through the end of July. The remaining schedule will be posted as soon as it is available. Note that there may be some weeknight games added to the existing schedule so keep checking back for updates.

2012 Bama Bash– 35+ Wood Bat– Birmingham Alabama
The Boone County Braves competed in the 2012 Bama Bash held the weekend of April 27th - 29th in Birmingham, AL. The Braves went 5-0 and defeated the Chicago Giants in the Championship Game to win the tournament. Local players playing for the Braves were Joe Pennel, Drew Hicks and Glenn Mayfield.
